About からくり弓道体験場&弓道

What is 弓道?

Kyudo is a traditional Japanese martial art in which practitioners shoot arrows at target using

a bow-often described as "Japanese archery" for those unfamiliar with the term.

More than simply hitting the target, Kyudo places great importance on

correct posture, breathing, and mental focus.

Its origins trace back roughly a thousand years to ceremonial court practices,

which gradually evolved into a code of discipline among samurai warriors.

The art is said to have taken its current form as a martial art during the Edo period.
